I would go directly from 5.7 to 6.1 and skip the intermediate steps.

I hope you still have the 5.7 development environment available, because you need to dump the database to text file by executing the first pass in reload.sh, dumpdb. The sequence is very similar to this thread

Make sure you redirect the project to 6.1 in $pwra_db/pwr_projectlist.dat in the 6.1 nvironment. Also enter the directoryvolume and save before starting the reload of the database.

If you have a storage server configured with a SevNodeConfig object, this has to be configured as a process station instead. Amd if you have any Profinet devices you should execute the conversion passes in upgrade.sh in 6.1.

If there is any c code that handles string or time signals you will get compilation errrors and have to make some adjustments.

Hi Claes,
To let you know I am starting with a clean sheet OS Kubuntu 26.04 LTS and am installing the latest Proview release pwr70_7.0.0-2.
The dependency libhdf5-openmpi-103-1t64 is missing from the OS. I can search for this (presumably in 24.04) but guess there will be others missing as well.
Has anyone else reported this as a bug?
will you review the coding for the latest release?

pwr70_7.0.0-1 was built for Ubuntu 24.04LTS and has a dependency of libhdf5-openmpi-103-1t64, while pwr70_7.0.0-2 is built for Ubuntu 26.04LTS and the dependency is changed to libhdf5-openmpi-310.
I haven't heard of any installation problems. Installing 7.0.0-1 on Ubuntu 26.04 would give the dependency problems you describe. Are you sure it was 7.0.0-2 you installed?

Actually I was installing the dependencies from the installation guide and hadn't started to install pwr70_7.0.0-2. The guide hasn't been updated and the lib file not changed. pwr70 installed ok after making the change.
Getting started with pwra there are a couple of error messages:-

Gdk-Message: 16:44:39.306: Unable to load diamond_cross from the cursor theme
Warning! CoLog::log could not open log file $pwrp_db/wb_history.log

More seriously, opening edit on the ProjectList and selecting a Hier object, a middle click of the mouse does not place the object in the Bases hierarchy but gives the error message:-
%NONAME-W-NOMSG, Message number 00000000.
Any thoughts?

I've resolved the cursor theme with a symlink diamond_cross to cross in the cursors folder.
This hasn't resolved the middle click not placing a heir object in the project list.
A middle click will place an object in the existing Bases folder.
