Upgrade project was created by jds
Hello,
I'm a bit lost in the upgrade process. I'm running 6.1.5 on Debian 12 and I'm trying to upgrade to 7.0 on Debian 13. Somewhere in between I need to transfer the project from the old to the new installation I suppose after the dump. But then there's the problem to change the load version to 7.0. How to accomplish this?

Hi jds,

You dump the database int 6.1 and when the dump is loaded in 7.0 it will be loaded into a database with 7.0 load versions.

Claes,
that's what I though, but since it's a fresh install I don't have a volumelist.  I can't sdf the project, nor can't I do a reload.sh.
Do I need to recreate the project in the fresh instalkl and do a reload (or first a sdf)?

You have to copy the project tree, copy $pwra_db/pwr_volumelist.dat and merge $pwra_db/pwr_projectlist.dat, i.e. copy the line for the project and change the version.

Claes,
after a few retries I mannaged to upgrade my first project. I can open the project, open my classvolume wothout problems, but I can't open my rootvolume without problems: wb_open_db.sh line 60: number (changes every time) Bus error.
When I try to open the volume with the tab open volume, it opens, but I can't edit a thing. When trying to get into edit mode the following error occures: %LDH-E-ACCESS, no such access for this configuration. The same happens with the PLC editor.
When checking all of the file permissions I see no problems.
I'm probably missing something.

Hi jds,

”no such access for this configuration” is probably that the dbs-file is opened instead of the database.

”Bus error” can be that you don’t have write access to a dbs-file. Check access and ownership on all dbs-files on $pwr_load, $pwrp_load and in databases in $pwrp_db.
