Can ProviewR support NI PXI platform hardware? was created by daniel9088
Hello Claes,
The NATIONAL INSTRUMENTS PXI platform includes a PC-like controller and various IO cards, and provides hardware drivers for Ubuntu. Does this mean that ProviewR can be runing on?

Hi Daniel,
If it’s an x86 64-bit processor with Ubuntu you should be able to install and run ProviewR. To also access the IO through the Ubuntu drivers though, there has to be and interface in ProviewR to the drivers. This is done by creating some IO classes and writing IO methods in c code that calls the drivers. Read more in Guide to IO System.
