Publish °C with MQTT was created by User
Hallo,

I have a problem. I am trying to publish a temperature value with the unit °C. I attempt to do this by using the identity of a ChanAo like this: "unit:"°C","value":However, the message always ends up looking like in the screenshot.

This only happens when I use ProviewR to send the message. If I send the same message using a tool like MQTT Explorer, I don’t encounter this issue.TL;DR: Is there a way to send a temperature value with °C using ProviewR?

Thanks in advance

The encoding of the string is iso-8859-1. You can convert to utf-8 with for example iconv.

Hello Claes,

thank you for your response.
Just to clarify: Does this mean that I need to convert the MQTT message outside of ProviewR to make the "°" symbol work?
